I will do my best to advocate and implement these initiatives to put an end to violence against women and children, ensuring their protection and well-being as fundamental rights in our society.
- Increase the Accessibility of Housing solutions—short-term, medium-term, and long-term—for women and children facing violence, including those residing in institutional care, while also providing support for women who wish to remain in their own homes.
- Secure Sufficient Funding and Resources to address and educate the community about the social factors that contribute to violence.
- Secure sufficient funding and resources to Identify and Provide Support to individuals who are particularly vulnerable to violence or committing acts of violence, ensuring that we take proactive measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
- Strengthen and expand the skills of both mainstream and specialist workforces to effectively deliver high-quality services, activities, and programs, ensuring that they are specifically designed to address the distinct experiences of every Victim-Survivor.
- Secure sufficient funding and resources that will address the underlying attitudes and systems that sustain violence against women and children, with the objective of Preventing such Violence from occurring in the first place.
- Advocating for an Improved Crisis Support and police intervention.
- Ensure that individuals who engage in violent behaviour are Held Accountable and legally responsible for their actions.
- Encourage and support government development of the infrastructure of services and systems dedicated to Supporting victim-Survivors.
- Encourage and support government initiatives aimed at developing a comprehensive plan that connected and coordinated responses that facilitate sustained recovery, health, and overall well-being.
