Society often holds views that leave certain lives vulnerable, stripping them of the fundamental right to exist. While legal protections exist for abortion, they frequently fail to acknowledge the unborn baby’s right to life, which can result in a troubling acceptance of inhumane actions.
As Christians, we embrace the belief that our lives are filled with meaning and not merely accidental.
God has called us into existence from a state of nothingness and we are destined for eternal life.
It truly breaks my heart to see individuals accepting the belief that an unborn baby, who cannot yet make choices or take independent actions, is not worthy of the same respect and dignity we usually associate with being a person.
Take a moment to look at the person next to you or reflect on your own image in the mirror. An unborn baby has the potential to grow into a person like us, unless we decide to stop that journey.
When the conversation centres solely on the “right to choose,” we risk overlooking the deeper, more significant questions at hand. What choices are we really making? What is the purpose of human life. Is it merely a matter of rights, or do we bear an unending responsibility towards it? Does the worth of a life hinge on my personal perspective? Does its value fluctuate based on my convenience or discomfort? Does it depend on whether I see it as a joy or a burden? Or is human life a precious gift from a loving God who desires its existence and intends for it to flourish?
In today’s society, abortion remains a highly divisive topic, sparking intense debates and passionate held beliefs among individuals on all sides.
I strongly believe that the sanctity of human life is precious, and that each person inherently deserves dignity and respect.
It is crucial that we unite in our efforts to defend the sanctity of all life, which includes every woman and every unborn child.
Let us unite in our efforts to create a world where every human being is greeted with open arms and granted the protection of the law.
Recognising the humanity of the unborn child is the essential first step. It is only through this recognition that we can be moved to compassion and direct our effort to protect the unborn child’s right to life.
Every human life is a precious gift bestowed upon us by our loving God. Throughout the entire journey of life, starting at the moment of conception and continuing until natural death, we must ensure that every person is embraced with the love, dignity, and respect that they rightfully deserve.
The value of every human being is undeniable, and they should be shielded from harm. We need to unite in rejecting the notion that some lives carry greater importance or are more valuable than others, and that it is acceptable to end the life of an unborn child for any justification.
Every person, from the tiniest unborn child to the oldest adult, is entitled to life, freedom, safety and the opportunity to find happiness. It is crucial to recognise that the pursuit of happiness for one should not result in the loss of life for another.
Everyone desires a world where women and children are safe from harm. Ensuring the protection of women and children is vital for fostering a society that values life. In reality, abortion inflicts harm not only on the unborn child but also on the mother, affecting her physical health and emotional well-being.
It is essential to recognise the truth about abortion, as it ultimately brings an end to a human life.
Millions of human lives have tragically been ended. Just take a moment to envision the potential of those individuals—how many could have emerged as future sports champions, influential leaders, celebrated musicians, passionate educators, healthcare heroes, innovative inventors, or nurturing parents and siblings, someone unique and irreplaceable. We must protect life at conception.
The reality of visiting an abortion facility to assert one’s right to terminate a pregnancy is far from empowering. Many individuals leave feeling devastated and emotionally crushed by the experience. Deep down, they are fully aware of what has just occurred and fully understanding the implications of exercising their right to choose. Yet, many feel compelled to seek an abortion because they believe they have no other choice.
It is essential to provide women with a broader range of options beyond abortion. When women are not pressured into choosing abortion, they can explore various alternatives that empower them to make informed decisions.
I strongly believe that every staff member at abortion facilities should receive comprehensive training not only in the various alternatives available to women but also in the ability to thoroughly explain these options. This should be a standard practice to ensure women are fully informed and supported in their choices.
While some people find it easy to decide what to do about an unplanned pregnancy, others may struggle with feelings of uncertainty and confusion.
It is essential that we guarantee all women have access to a variety of supportive alternatives before making a decision about abortion, including options such as, becoming a parent, co-parenting, raising the child as a single parent, or considering kinship care, where extended family members raise the child. Additionally, foster care offers temporary guardianship with another family, and adoption can be arranged with friends or relatives.
It is essential that we secure sufficient government assistance, encompassing financial aid, emotional support services, and housing, ensuring that these resources are available during and after pregnancy.
Together, we can build a brighter future for all. May God bless you all, and I look forward to the opportunity to serve you as your next Senator.
